EMERGENCY NUMBERS

In case of Gas Emergency

If you suspect or smell a gas leak, please take the remediation steps:

⦁ Open all doors and windows
⦁ Turn off the gas supply immediately from shut off valve
⦁ Contact the National Grid on 0800 111 999
⦁ Find the isolation switch and step outside of your home. It’s better to let your neighbours know.
⦁ Do not use any electrical switches. (Lights, doorbells, mobile phones)
⦁ Don’t smoke, light up a matchstick or any other sort of naked flame.
⦁ Don’t go back inside until or unless it’s all clear.

In Case of Electricity Emergency

If the power cut lasts longer than few hours, you must contact your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) at 105. (Click here to know about your DNO)

Please ensure that you have checked the following before contacting DNO:

⦁ Your trip switch is fine and doesn’t have any wiring issues. Also, the electrical items aren’t the problem.
⦁ Ask your neighbours to confirm if they are having the power cut too. If yes, then there’s something wrong with the local network. Call your DNO.

Not sure whom to contact?

If you are not sure whom to call, you should know your GSP (Grid Supply Point) number. The first two digits of your MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number) is your GSP number.
